Building on the success of its inaugural year, CACO's intern program has once again provided exceptional high school musicians from across Central Alberta with the invaluable opportunity to perform alongside seasoned professionals and the number of interns accepted has more than doubled! 👏🏻

 

These talented nine students, selected through a competitive audition process, have been immersed in the world of orchestral performance, receiving personalized coaching and mentorship from members of the Central Alberta Chamber Orchestra 🎷💙

 

We are so proud of these dedicated musicians and extend our congratulations to their parents, teachers, and schools who have supported their passion:

🎶 Ethan Taylor (Lindsay Thurber) - Clarinet

🎶 Abi Cabay (Notre Dame) - Clarinet

🎶 Amelia Mackenzie (Notre Dame) - Tenor Saxophone

🎶 Sam Buhay (Lindsay Thurber) - Baritone Saxophone

🎶 Seth Bushell (Notre Dame) - Trumpet

🎶 Aurora Hammond (Lindsay Thurber) - Trombone

🎶 Brady Varty (Notre Dame) - Bass Trombone

🎶 Tylan Bushell (Notre Dame) - Tuba

 

We also recognize Tylan Bushell, a remarkable Grade 10 tuba player from Notre Dame High School in Red Deer and resident of Innisfail. 

Demonstrating exceptional talent, Tylan not only performed with the orchestra but his original composition, "Beyond Dissonance," premiered at our recent concerts – a significant achievement for such a young composer.
